Membership Guidelines

Active membership is open to those executives who perform some or all of the duties of a financial executive, as defined by the Financial Executives Institute and who serve companies of significant size to meet institute qualifications.

The titles and duties of the executives who are responsible for the financial function in a business enterprise vary with different companies. The important consideration in determining eligibility for membership in FEI is the broad-based nature of the applicant's responsibilities. In addition, senior specialists in certain designated functional areas are eligible for membership with the partnership and endorsement of a chief financial officer of the specialist's company.

Company Qualifications (Minimum Criteria) for General Enterprises, Company, division or subsidiary.

    • $ 20 million operating expenses
  • Commercial / savings banks $500 million total assets

To be eligible for membership, an applicant must be an educator in the field of financial management, be engaged primarily in educational work, and have an academic rank of Dean, Assistant Dean, Professor or Associate Professor.
