This program will be of value to business leaders who wish to create and expand board of director opportunities as one of the sources of income in a career.

 

 

SPEAKERS

Ellen Richstone, Independent Board Director

Ellen B. Richstone is a full time Professional Director with experience on boards of companies ranging in from Microcap up to Fortune 500. Her industry experience (both Operating and Board) includes: Biotech, Consumer Products, Financial Services, Industrial, Power, Pharmaceuticals; Technology (Computer-Hardware/Software; Semiconductors; Telecommunication Networking).


Ellen is a former private company CEO and former Fortune 500 CFO.

She is currently on the boards of three public companies and chairs the Audit Committee on all three.

In addition to her public board work, Ellen sits on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Corporate Directors New England Chapter and is an NACD Board Leadership Fellow. This is the highest award given by the NACD for Corporate Governance.

Ellen also received the First Annual Distinguished Director Award from the American College of Corporate Directors in 2013.

 

 

 

 

 

Larry Stybel, Psychologist, Co-Founder of Boardoptions.com and Stybelpeabody.com

Larry Stybel is Vice President of Boardoptions.com.  Nominating & Governance Committees of Boards of Directors retain Boardoptions.com for a talented board and an educated board.  Core services include Board Self Evaluation, Board Retained Search, and Board Education.

 

He also is co-founder of Stybel Peabody Associates, Inc.  Founded in 1979, its mission is Leadership and Career Success for senior executives: retained search, leadership coaching, and executive outplacement.

 

Larry is Executive in Residence at Lexington Growth Funds, a private equity firm.

 

He is listed in Marquis WHO’S WHO IN BUSINESS AND FINANCE and Marquis WHO’S WHO IN AMERICA.  In 2019, Marquis Publishing presented Larry with the “Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award” for  “enduring contributions to leadership.”

 

Larry has been on the Board of a venture backed tech company in the HRTech space and a member of the Board of Directors of the New England Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors.

 

Larry received his doctorate in psychology from Harvard University and is a licensed psychologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  Each month PSYCHOLOGY TODAY publishes Stybel Peabody’s perspectives on leadership.  To date there have been over 350,000 downloads.

 

He is a proud member of the FEI Career Committee and ran the Public Company CFO Roundtable for FEI in Boston.  He also gives talks to FEI National and FEI Chapters around the country.

Financial Executives International (FEI) is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasba.org.

 

For FEI CPE credits, one credit hour equals 50 minutes according to NASBA guidelines. Some states boards may differ on how many minutes constitute a credit hour.
