Greg Batsevitsky, Regional Manager Commercial Banking, Senior Vice President at People's United Bank, N.A.

Greg joined People’s United Bank in 2012 and is currently responsible for managing a team of corporate bankers focused on serving the needs of Business Banking (annual revenues $1MM- $20MM) and Middle Market (annual revenue $20MM-$2B) clients, and for developing and executing a strategic plan to expand People’s United Bank’s corporate banking clients in the Greater Boston market.  In his more than 25 years of commercial banking experience with People’s United Bank, Sovereign/Santander and Fleet Bank, Greg has advised middle market, asset based, and private equity clients on complex financing solutions and optimal capital structures for working capital, growth capital and mergers and acquisitions.  Greg’s industry expertise includes manufacturing and distribution, food and beverage, gas stations and heating fuel, logistics, and professional services.  Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Syracuse University and a Masters of Business Administration from Northeastern University. Greg is active in his community as a volunteer in the Needham Medical Reserve Core.  He is currently the Treasurer and a Board Member of Mount Pleasant Home and has served on boards of advisors of North Atlantic Capital and SPP Capital Partners.

Darrell Cronk, President and Chief Investment Officer, Wells Fargo Investment Institute

Darrell L. Cronk is the president of Wells Fargo Investment Institute, a subsidiary of Wells Fargo Bank N.A., which is focused on delivering the highest quality investment expertise and advice to help investors manage risk and succeed financially. Mr. Cronk leads global investment strategy and research including equity, fixed income, real assets, and alternative investments. He also serves as chief investment officer for Wealth and Investment Management, a division of Wells Fargo & Company comprised of Wells Fargo Private Bank, Wells Fargo Advisors, Wells Fargo Institutional Retirement, and Abbot Downing businesses.

Mr. Cronk is frequently featured in the media including The Wall Street Journal, TheStreet, Dow Jones MarketWatch, Barron’s, the Associated Press, Reuters, Bloomberg Television, CNBC, and Fox Business Network. He has authored numerous investment-related articles and regularly speaks at investment-industry conferences.

With more than 25 years of experience in financial services, Mr. Cronk most recently served as deputy chief investment officer for Wells Fargo Private Bank. He has held a variety of positions at Wells Fargo, including regional chief investment officer, senior director of investments, regional investment manager, senior investment manager, equity analyst, and senior financial consultant. He began his career as a senior credit analyst for Norwest Bank, a Wells Fargo predecessor.

Mr. Cronk earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Iowa State University, a Master in Finance from Boston University, and is a CFA® charterholder. He is based in New York City.

Courtney Barker, Vice President, Middle Market Investment Banking division, Bank of America

Courtney is a Vice President at Bank of America in the middle market Investment Banking division and is based in Boston, MA. Courtney works with companies in a variety of industries to help raise private capital, execute M&A sell-side and buy-side strategies, as well as enter the public markets through IPOs and Follow-Ons. Prior to Bank of America, she was a Director in Oppenheimer's Technology Investment Banking Group, specializing in the coverage of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Software.  Prior to Oppenheimer, Courtney was an investment banker at AGC Partners, a boutique technology investment bank in Boston, MA. Courtney started her career in the IT team at Merrill Lynch & Co., where she liaised between application developers and business end-users. She was promoted to Assistant Vice President and managed Merrill Lynch Bank Suisse’s Application Support team in Geneva Switzerland prior to attending business school. Courtney has an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA double-major in Computer Science and Mathematics from Colby College.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bill Tamul, Principal, JMC Capital Partners

Bill is seasoned professional with 20+ years advising companies in a variety of capacities focused on acquisition, growth, operations and capital raising. He has held many positions such as Principal, Senior Manager, and Finance Director. Bill developed investment process of JMC from initial contact to sale of the business including the definition of roles and responsibilities and measurement of each stage. He is the Author of 100 Day Plan for JMC’s new acquisitions and instrumental in the develop of several playbooks (e.g., budget, cost improvement, integration, executive search, etc.). Some of his Accomplishments are:

Principal of a private equity firm focused on executing a “buy-and-build” strategy in the middle market. Responsible for investments on behalf of Limited Partners seeking to diversify their exposure into privately held small to medium sized businesses.

Spent a career working through complex concepts, issues and ideas with the goal of building constructs to analyze,explain, summarize and solve those for boards, investors and C-suites.

Successfully acquired three platform companies and implemented a “buy-and-build” strategy where the platforms were acquired and grown primarily through acquisition. Led the due diligence and transaction execution of seven add-on acquisitions as well as the sale of non-core assets.

Advised 20+ management teams through debt capital raises (including asset-based loans, working capital and mezzanine debt) to optimize the need and fit of the company and lenders.

Experience running a company as controller, including vendor management, closing the books, motivating staff, working with tax and audit and managing liquidity. Assisted numerous CFO’s with accelerating their ability to report and present financial results.

Strong relationships in the financial sponsor, investment banking, middle-market lending and legal communities.
