What is the Career Management Committee?

The Career Management Committee serves in-transition and working professionals with assistance in the management of their career/job search and hosts professional events to help professionals keep their network active and vibrant. This includes, but is not limited to, monthly networking and speaker events held year-round, career advice, jobs leads and resume review.

What role do volunteers play in the Career Management Committee?

Volunteers advise and assist the chairs in the yearly planning of speakers, assisting in the recruiting and follow-up of guest speakers for the monthly events and event topics, providing career advice on an individual basis and helping to maintain the "back office" administration for the meetings and attendee database.

Does assisting with the Career Management Committee requiring in-person meetings, etc.?

While many of the tasks can be conducted by email or telephone, the Committee does meet at least twice per year to plan its speaker calendar. We also would like committee members to attend the monthly speaker/networking engagements generally held on the third Tuesday of each month in the evenings at our Waltham sponsor's location. Career advising is sometimes done on a face to face basis depending upon the volunteer's schedule.
